Katherine Dierdorff has focused her career and community involvement around causes that are important to her. After completing her graduate studies in clinical counseling, Katherine embarked on a career in Washington D.C., At DTI Associates, INC. providing consulting services to the U.S. Department of Labor and Education. In D.C., Katherine worked on developing public-private partnerships designed to scale education and workforce development programs to create access points for under-served populations.
After moving to Atlanta with her husband, Tom, and expanding their family, Katherine turned her attention to local endeavors. She is a trained Orton-Gillingham Professional and tutors Elementary-aged children diagnosed with Dyslexia, works with several school and non-profit organizations on their fundraising efforts and served on her neighborhood association’s board of directors. In 2017, Katherine and her three daughters assisted children helping children in launching a new program, “OM: An Open-Mic Initiative”.
